James Jones
James Jones was the WRU's second appointment to the positon of professional referee following in the footsteps of Nigel Owens. However, in 2012, they decided to dispense with this services completely and now his is lost to the game. He started his playing career as wing or scrum half for University of Glamorgan when picked, before taking up the whistle. His first ever game in charge was St. Joseph's 2nd XV v Llanishen 2nd XV. He refereed six Tier 2 internationals after making his international debut in March 2007 when the Czech Republic faced Romania. In more recent times, he has resurfaced in rugby league and was recently named as in-goal touch judge for a clash between Salford and Wakefield.
