Notes

• Why do the total points scored not equal actual points scored? For some games, possession percentages are not available. These games have been ommitted from this analysis.
• How is the possession figure calculated? Data is available on percentage of possession secure by team per game. For the purposes of comparison, it has been assumed that we can extrapolate this percentage to minutes, by multiplying the percentage by 80 minutes.
• Why so little data on French teams? Data is not always available for Top14 fixtures.
