Phil Fear
Phil Fear was arrested in 2004 and found guilty of stealing from his employers. Ironically, at the court hearing, he was defended by ex-scrum half Matthew de Maid. This didn't seem to affect his career as a referee and he went on to pass judgement on others until the 2007-8 season.
